Kentish Flats Extension
First cables: Cabling work at Vattenfall's 49.5MW Kentish Flats Extension is progressing. Three of the inter-array cables have been installed from the Nostag 10 vessel.
Work is due to start soon on the installation of the export cable into the previously installed duct on the foreshore. Work along the onshore cable route is also progressing.
The project – an extension of the 90MW Kentish Flats – is under construction off the Kent coast, southeast England. It is due for completion later this year.
Turbines installed: Turbine installation at Eneco Luchterduinen has been completed.
The 43 Vestas V112-3.0 MW turbines were installed from Van Oord's Aeolus vessel. Approximately 22 of the turbines are now operational and the remaining 21 should become operational in July.
Luchterduinen's first turbine was installed at the site, in the Dutch North Sea, in April.
The 129MW project is a joint venture between Eneco and Mitsubishi Corporation.
EnBW Baltic 2
Turbines installed: Installation of all 80 Siemens 3.6MW turbines at EnBW Baltic 2 has been completed.
The first turbine was installed in August 2014 following a slight delay due to adverse weather conditions.
Just over half of the turbines have been commissioned and are supplying power to the German grid.
Commissioning of the remaining turbines at the 288MW project will continue over the coming weeks.
Gode Wind 1 & 2
Cabling begins: The first of 97 inter-array cables at Gode Wind was laid from CT Offshore's cable-laying vessel Sia on 8 June and cable burial is set to commence at the end of the month.
Offshore construction activities began in April with the first foundation being installed.
Dong Energy's 582MW Gode Wind 1 & 2 is being developed in the North Sea, north of Juist and Norderney. It is due for completion in 2016.
