Arkona Becken Südost

Host port: Sassnitz has been named as the port to handle the construction of E.on's Arkona Becken Südost.

The port has also host been earmarked as the 385MW project's future operations centre. Sassnitz is located on the Baltic Sea island of Rügen

Investment in the harbour infrastructure would be required, allowing major components to be preassembled on the wharf and loaded onto vessels for transportation to the project site.

E.on is planning Arkona Becken Südost for a site 35 kilometres off Rügen, but has yet to give the final go-ahead for the project. 22-Jun-15

Greater Gabbard

Crew transfer: Vessels firm CWind has won a six-month contract to provide crew transfer services to RWE Innogy and SSE's Greater Gabbard project.

A 19-metre catamaran will assist with operation and maintenance activities at the 504MW wind farm, which lies in the North Sea off Suffolk.

The vessel charter may be extended by an additional three months. 24-Jun-15

Burbo Bank Extension

The installation works will be undertaken in summer 2016, from the Svanen heavy lift vessel.

The project is an extension of the 90MW Burbo Bank and will use 32 MHI-Vestas V164 8MW turbines. 24-Jun-15

Kentish Flats Extension

First turbine: The installation of the first of 15 MHI-Vestas V112 3.3MW turbines at the Kentish Flats Extension has been completed.
