The deal covers work for the next year at the 210MW development eight kilometres off England's north-east coast.

Seacat will provide two workboats for crew transfer for the Round 2 project on which construction started in February.

Two boats powered by diesel engines driving water jets will serve the project. Each vessel has the capability to accommodate 15 technicians and crew and 15 tonnes of equipment, while reaching speeds of 25 knots.

Westermost Rough, which is set to be the first commercial project to feature Siemens' new 6MW turbine, is due to be commissioned in 2015.
