The blades were produced at Vestas' research and development facilities on the Isle of Wight, UK. They were this week transported from Hanstholm in northern Denmark, to Østerild.

Each blade weighs approximately 35 tonnes and the diameter of the root is 4.6 metres.

Earlier this month Vestas completed the nacelle of the prototype and began moving it the test centre ready for installation.
