Six CWind vessels bound for Gwynt y Môr

Siemens awards CTV contract

CWind has been contracted by Siemens, to supply six crew transfer vessels (CTVs) to Gwynt y Môr. The 576MW project is under development in Liverpool Bay, off the north Wales coast.

The six boats will arrive on site over the next two months, as construction activity picks up. Turbine installation is about to commence. The new CWind Adventure and SC Buzzard will be the first vessels to join the Siemens team at Gwynt y Môr.

Chris Ventre, Siemens' senior project manager, said the contract was "the largest crew transfer vessel contract Siemens has awarded to a single vessel supplier in relation to a UK offshore wind farm". Peter Jorgensen, CWind's managing director said he was "delighted" that CWind had been awarded it.
